Setting Up Your Business Profile

Your business profile contains the essential information that appears on invoices, quotes, and client communications. Taking time to set this up correctly ensures professional documents every time.

Company Information

Navigate to Settings → Company to configure:

  • Business Name - Your company or trading name
  • Legal Name - Your registered business name (if different)
  • Business Address - Your primary business location
  • Phone Number - Main contact number
  • Email Address - Primary business email
  • Website - Your business website URL

Tax and Legal Details

For tax-compliant invoicing, add:

  • Tax/VAT Number - Your tax registration number
  • Business Registration - Company registration number
  • Default Tax Rate - Your standard tax rate (see Configuring Tax Rates)

Brand Identity

Go to Settings → Brand Identity to customize your branding (see Creating Brand Identities for details):

  • Logo - Upload your company logo (recommended: 400×200 pixels)
  • Primary Color - Your main brand color for headers and accents
  • Secondary Color - Accent color for highlights

Default Settings

Set defaults to speed up invoice creation:

  • Currency - Your default invoicing currency
  • Payment Terms - Default days until payment is due (e.g., Net 30)
  • Invoice Numbering - Customize your invoice number format
  • Notes - Default notes that appear on invoices

Email Settings

Configure your email preferences in Settings → Email Settings (see Email Templates Customization):

  • Email Signature - Custom signature for invoice emails
  • Reply-To Address - Where client replies should go
  • BCC Address - Get copies of sent invoices

Tip: Preview your invoice after making changes to see how it will look to your clients.
