Setting Up Mollie Payments

Mollie is a leading European payment provider, offering localized payment methods like iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA Direct Debit, and more. Connect Mollie to accept payments from European clients.

Connecting Your Mollie Account

  1. Navigate to Settings - Payments in TallySpark
  2. Find the Mollie provider card ("Accept payments in Europe")
  3. Click Connect Mollie
  4. You'll be redirected to Mollie's secure authorization page
  5. Log in to your Mollie account if prompted
  6. Review the permissions TallySpark is requesting
  7. Click Authorize to grant access
  8. You'll be redirected back to TallySpark with Mollie connected

Completing Account Verification

After connecting, Mollie requires verification before accepting live payments. Status messages you may see:

  • "Account needs data" (yellow) - Complete your account setup in Mollie
  • "Account in review" (blue) - Mollie is verifying your business details
  • "Profile unverified" (yellow) - Additional steps needed in your Mollie dashboard

To complete verification:

  1. Log in to your Mollie dashboard at mollie.com
  2. Navigate to the Verification section
  3. Provide requested information: business details, bank account, ID documents
  4. Submit for review and wait for approval email

Understanding Status Indicators

Once connected, the Mollie card displays:

  • Account ID/Email - Shows which Mollie account is connected
  • "Primary" Badge (blue) - This is your default payment provider
  • "Live" Badge (green) - Account is verified and accepting real payments
  • "Test" Badge (yellow) - Account is in test mode
  • "Account blocked" (red) - Contact Mollie support

Setting Mollie as Your Primary Provider

  1. Go to Settings - Payments
  2. Find your verified Mollie connection
  3. Click Set as Primary (green button with star icon)
  4. The Primary badge appears on the Mollie card

Switching Between Test and Live Mode

  • Test Mode - Use fake payment methods to test without real money
  • Live Mode - Accept real payments from customers

To switch modes, toggle between Test and Live in your Mollie dashboard, then disconnect and reconnect in TallySpark to refresh the API keys.

To disconnect Mollie entirely, click the Disconnect button (red) next to your connection.
